Program Coordinator (Contractor) - Samasource (Merced, CA)

Your Job Your Responsibilities: Assist in planning and executing a successful pilot launch in Merced Oversee day-to-day operations, logistics, and effective functioning of the training site Manage student recruitment process, including student outreach, advertising, and working with recruitment partners Assist in securing digital employment opportunities for students and program alumni Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community based organizations and community colleges to support student and program success Support data collection efforts on current and former students, create reports and updates as needed Work with classroom instructor in creating a positive and welcoming learning environment Ensure the model is being run according to the program policies, procedures and best practices Contribute to creating best practices to ensure student retention and success Play a central role in building a strong presence for the program in the local community Organize ongoing events, including the SamaUSA graduation and alumni program Represent SamaUSA at local conferences and meetings Requirements Proven community knowledge and cultural competency in regards to the Central Valley community BA/BS 3+ years experience in program coordination in education, vocational or employment training programs High level of competency working with communities of cultural and socioeconomic diversity Demonstrated track record of collaborating and building relationships with multiple organizations or partners Passionate and committed to the Samasource mission Superlative interpersonal and oral communication Results and data-driven, strong analytical skills At home in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity Familiarity with Keynote and Pages for Mac a plus Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Source:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
